Statement: I’ve been creating art throughout my life in varying forms, and oil painting since I was eleven. I have had a variety of teachers all sharing their favorite techniques, knowledge, and inspiration. I absolutely love rich vibrant colors, geometric patterns, curvilinear shapes, and the incredible beauty of nature itself. Upcoming Exhibits: The majority of my work is abstract though I also paint landscapes, seascapes, and whatever else inspiration leads me to. I enjoy using a variety of brushes, palette knives and an occasional finger to create incredible softness and contrasting boldness. My choice of color and technique within a painting is an evolutionary process and spontaneous in the moment. My intention is to paint with, and instill in my paintings uplifting positive energy, so that people feel that energy when they view my paintings and take it with them out in the world. |
