statement: social issues and cultural scrutiny remain a constant source of inspiration for my work. infusing art with message provides the ability to communicate an idea to others on a deeper, emotional level. mastery of technique and style will facilitate the process, but it’s the meaning, the soul of the piece that provides the capacity to transcend, to transform. recent accomplishments: 1st place american artist professional league 81st grand national exhibition, november 2009, nyc the allied artists of america members and associates award, november 2009, nyc biography: roger reutimann was borne and raised in switzerland. during his teen-age years he has received recognition by winning numerous piano competitions and performing as a classically trained concert pianist in europe. after gratuating from the art academy of zurich he organized and later part-owned the annual forum international art fairs in zurich, hamburg and dusseldorf. In 2005 reutimann turned his lifelong passion into reality and he has since been working as a professional sculptor. |
